PERSONALITY

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Eager to impress Tracey Davis is and always has been a nose in the air snob. A born and bred social climber, she's always found a yearning to be accepted by those of money and high class. In turn she's adopted a number of personality traits that keep the "common folk" at bay. She's condescending to the max and unyieldingly harsh towards those she doesn't think up to her standard. She's rarely ever genuine in her compliments and has no qualms about talking about people behind their backs.

Despite her less than fuzzy ability to look down on people she generally wears a mask of poised class. In groups where she finds herself an equal she's known to laugh and enjoy herself just as much as the next person. She's all about a good party and does, for the most part, enjoy environments with lots of people. She's all about networking where possible and meeting new classier people has always been a poorly kept secret of hers. She's generally sociable when in the proper settings and she's entirely willing to strike conversation if necessary.

THE INSIDE SCOOP
A double edged sword, Tracey has found herself with many people she considers acquaintances but very few friends. Though she's more than willing to offer the title to others as a sort of peace treaty - deep down she's never truly found herself connected with anyone on a personal level. She has issues expressing her true feelings and she's very much opposed to letting herself get hurt because of those feelings. Closing herself off to the world and wearing a mask is how she's learned to survive.

Despite her being relatively standoffish toward letting others in - Tracey does, for the most part, show signs of general loyalty to those she's grown accustomed to over the years. Though there's always a shaded veil surrounding these relationships she does have a habit of siding with the more powerful of people when the time comes. Course, she's only loyal to them as long as they have something to offer. She's not opposed to jumping ship and joining another powerhouse in society should that ever be necessary.

Tracey is all about her and her alone - and though she can play off as though she's a bubbly, caring, and eager to please socialite her level of selfishness is astounding. She rarely if ever goes out of her way to help others unless she has something to benefit from it. She fakes kindness on a regular basis and has no trouble revoking the privilege when she deems necessary. She's the type of young woman to hold grudges and seek revenge when things go wrong and she, by no means, will ever do anything out of the goodness of her heart if she doesn't get anything in return.

BLOOD & SOCIAL STATUS: The Davis family is one of upper middle-class standing. Samson Davis works as a wizarding barrister at Yen & Davis Company - a highly profitable law office in Diagon Alley. Their financial status allows them to live a fairly comfortable life complete with trendy clothing and expensive holiday trips abroad. However, they're not exactly old money and don't have the privilege to sit on their duffs and still have the opportunity to purchase everything and God. They're a long way a way from being considered wizarding world elite - but they've certainly grown accustomed to rubbing elbows with them over the years.

Unfortunately, their bloodline is one of unkind circumstance. They broke away from pureblood status many years ago and haven't particularly paid much attention since. Over the last four generations there have been some Davis heirs who've paid attention to the type of person they married - so occasionally they can get away with claiming to be pure. And for anyone who asks - Tracey will assure them she's purer than most.

Samson and his daughter have had a classic relationship of a "Daddy's Little Girl" scenario. Being a very work-centric individual it's no surprise that he uses material things to get in the good graces of the women in his life. Because of his near guilt at not being at home as often as he would like he's prone to giving Tracey whatever it is her heart desires. Though he's prone to the idea of occasionally setting up stipulations to the girl's desires Tracey knows exactly how to push the man's buttons. In short, Tracey adores her father's deep pockets. Emotionally she finds herself disconnected from him - but as long as he keeps giving her her monthly money transfer she'll tell him she loves him as much as he wants her to.

Margery and Tracey are so alike that it's no surprise that they've had trouble getting along. Margery's not keen on the idea of Tracey growing up as a spoilt brat, but only tried to do something about it 10 years too late. She and Tracey butt heads on a weekly basis, but strangely enough they do have a mutual understanding for one another. Despite Margery's constant attempt to bring Tracey down for her poor choice in clothing or behaviour Margery's the first to brag and stand up for her daughter in public situations. Tracey, though loyal to her mother for giving birth to her, would quite honestly prefer to limit her interactions with the women on birthday's and major holidays.
