I thought someone stole this bloody thing. I don't have any new years resolutions. They're rather pointless since no one ever really follows through with them anyway.

The holidays were rubbish. Yule was a complete waste of time. The only good thing that came of it was the diamond earrings and matching necklace father got me when I ended up spending time in Berlin anyway. I don't even want to discuss the Nott issue. He's still a complete arse and that's all I'm going to say on the matter.

I mean honestly, ELLE MONTGOMERY!? I'm certainly prettier than she is - and who in their right minds just randomly meets people in shady Russian pubs? She could have at least entertained him at a halfway steralized hotel inn or something. I wonder if he paid her to... No, I'm not going to let myself think about it ANYMORE!

The New Years party wasn't terrible but it wasn't amazing either. I won't be hosting anything else anytime soon.

In other news my mother's got me a job as a receptionist at the Witch Weekly offices in London. A receptionist! Could you get any lower? Personally, I think she's doing it to punish me because daddy only gave her a generic piece of emerald jewelry at Christmas. We both know his secretary bought it for him. Of course, I'll humour mother for a few weeks I suppose. Daddy thought it was such a grand idea when she revealed it at dinner yesterday. If I don't get free stuff it won't last a month.

I've half a mind to just not show up tomorrow morning. The idea of waking up before 10:00 bothers me to no end.

Resolutions are created for people to break. I find it amusing that most people make them and then break them within the first week.
